Art plays a crucial role in the development of children and young adults as individuals and as citizens. It helps create a shared cultural foundation, which they can draw on now and later in life. Art provides a space and an opportunity to create, strengthen and transform the social communities of children and young adults.
Children and young adults should experience art as relevant and meaningful in their everyday live.
Therefore, we aim to:
provide children and young adults across the country with the opportunity to actively engage in high-quality artistic experiences, both as audiences and as participants in the creative process
make art more accessible to all children and young adults and ensure that accessibility does not depend on cultural background, geography, or socio-economic status
support and develop initiatives aimed at the adults (artists, cultural institutions, organisations, etc.) who create, produce and present art for children and young adults
establish partnerships with institutions, organisations, and others in order to jointly develop new ways for children and young adults to engage with high-quality art.

Art should be widely distributed and accessible to as many people as possible. We strive to ensure that all citizens in Denmark experience the art world as inclusive and relevant to them.
