Art is global and sparks conversations - also across national borders. Art can strengthen dialogue with and between citizens around the world. With art as a focal point, we can engage in dialogue with the rest of the world – both abroad and at home – and help deepen our understanding of ourselves and of one another.

Mission

Therefore, we aim to:

work to ensure that people around the world have the opportunity to experience high-quality Danish art
contribute to ensuring that everyone on Denmark has the opportunity to experience the best art from other countries
increase visibility and recognition of Danish art on international platforms, among institutions and organisations, and with key producers, curators, publishers, translators, organisers, and art mediators
support artistic development through international residencies, networks, and inspiration.
